What about inside the Kona?
The interior of the new Hyundai Kona features comfortable seating for five, includes two seats in front with a three-passenger benchseat in the second row. A seven-inch touchscreen display is standard, while an eight-inch touchscreen is the norm when ordering the Kona Ultimate trim level. In case you hope for actual buttons on the dashboard of the Kona, you won't be disappointed. There is a complete array of them, enabling you to push your desired selection.
USB ports are available in the storage cubby at the base of the center console. All models include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with other popular features. An 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat allows precise positioning for drivers of all sizes when stepping up to the Kona SEL Plus. Add to that package Qi Wireless charging and an 8-speaker Infinity premium audio system for that concert hall on wheels experience.
If you need to haul cargo rather than people, feel free to fold down the rear seatback. Doing so will open up the cabin to 45.8 cubic feet of cargo space.Â
What's standard, and what's available on the new Hyundai Kona?
The new award-winning Hyundai Kona is loaded with the latest in safety features and assists. They include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, driver attention monitoring and more. Blind-spot monitoring is available at added cost.
But that's not all. In addition to all the Kona SE standard features, you'll find a 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and more.
Stepping up to the Kona SEL, you'll add the aforementioned blind-spot monitoring, heated front seats, keyless entry and ignition, hidden cargo compartments, roof rails, rear privacy glass, heated side mirrors, HD/Satellite Radio and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The higher-line Kona SEL Plus includes all of the previous items except when they have been replaced with better equipment. Add an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, LED fog lights, self-dimming rear-view mirrors, remote garage door opener, Qi Wireless charging and Hyundai Blue Link system to perform certain functions such as locking /unlocking with a smartphone.
The Kona Ultimate is at the top of the range. As such, it brings a pedestrian detection function to the automatic emergency braking system. Adaptive Cruise Control, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a head-up display, navigation, rear parking sensors and automatic high-beam headlamps.
