The new Palisade from Hyundai gets its motivation from an Atkinson-cycle 3.5-liter V6 direct injection engine which offers powerful efficiency. This engine produces 287 horsepower at 6,400 rpm, and an estimated 260 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. It is delivered to either the front-wheel-drive or HTRAC all-wheel-drive systems via Hyundai's eight-speed automatic transmission, it can pull through whatever terrain it may find itself in. But it won't squawk about it: Hyundai has seen fit to reduce vehicle Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) to a very soothing level.
Oh and it can tow: The Hyundai Palisade can tow up to 5,000 pounds with available trailer brakes. Without trailer brakes, the limit drops to 1,500 pounds.
